Fine Arts club is a vibrant club in St. Joseph’s College for Women. Ms Moon is the coordinator of the club with four more faculties as coordinators. There are 4 members in the group, the elected secretaries from Arts, Science B.Ed and D.El.Ed. The fine arts exhibitions are conducted every year in the last week of the month of January. The college participates in the university level competitions also. Our students have represented the university in the Inter University Youth Festival in several items. Our students won laurels in the 32nd Inter University Youth Festival conducted in Culcutta in January 2017. Our students participated in solo classical dance, folk group dance, mehndi making, rangoli making, elocution. Out of 40 students representing this university for several items, 20 were from St. Joseph’s College for Women, Gorakhpur. In Rangoli Making Anjali Jaiswal secured second position, in Elocution First Prize for Siddhi Pandey, in Mahndi Competition First Prize for ShabanamBano, in solo Classical Dance second prize for NilanjanaBasu.  In addition to the activities of the Fine Arts Association students were encouraged to take part in competitions held outside the campus which in turn helped in increasing understanding and co-operation. Students of our college took part in various Inter-collegiate competitions and Inter-district competitions as well.
