Career Guidance programs in the College provide Career Counseling and guidance services to prepare students to face the challenges and utilize emerging opportunities. Seminars, Career Exhibitions etc., are organized to enable students to identify their career choice and provide relevant and timely information pertaining to various careers. Career and placement cell of St. Joseph’s College for Women functions with the objective of providing guidance and assistance for the students to achieve their career goals. It provides awareness on higher studies self employment and job opportunities.

STEPPING STONE TO PSC EXAMS

The Career and PlacementCell of College, conductsevery year interactions with the PSC officers from the city, or those alumnae who cleared PSC. The session on "Stepping Stone to PSC Exams" was conducted by Dr. HimanshuPandey, the faculty of Psychology who cleared PSC Exams recently, on 18th November 2019 at college auditorium. In the talk she explained the various methods to learn a subject and also how to face a PSC exam. Dr. Fr Roger Augustine inaugurated the program and Mr. Pawan, Coordinator, Carrier and placement cell, delivered the welcome speech.

EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS

The Career and Placement Cell of the college, conducted a seminar on "Employability Skills" on 23rd January 2019 at college auditorium. Prof Ajay Gupta DDU, Gorakhpur, handled the sessions.Mr. PawanCoordinator, Carrier and placement cell, delivered the welcome speech.

CAREER PROFILE MAPPING

The Career and Placement Cell of St. Joseph’s College for Women, in association with the Psychology department of the College and DDU Gorakhpur University, conducted an extended version of aptitude test named "Career Profile Mapping" on 20th February 2019. Dr. Garima Singh handled the session. It helps the students to realize in which department she will excel and which all the changes she should make in her personality to get her goal.

TECHERS’ RECRUITMENT DRIVE 19

Career and placement cell in association with 10 schools under Catholic Diocese of Gorakhpur Education Society, (CDGES) conducted placement drive at St. Joseph’s College on 10/03/2019. Almost 20 students from the college were selected in the drive as teachers to work in city schools.
